Punawale is a fastest developing suburb in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area and locality is placed along Mumbai Pune Highway and close proximity with Hinjewadi IT Park. Residential projects development is speedily going on.

But unfortunately there is no proper Infrastructure like Roads, Street Lights, Underpass/ Over bridge to cross the Highway, Super Speciality Hospitals, Oxygen Park, Gardens, Drainage System, Metro Connectivity etc.

Around 1 Lakh people are living in Punawale without basic infrastructure facilities. Punawale underpass always remains overcrowded, waterlogging during Monsoon. It usually takes 30 minutes to cross 500 Meters area. There is no provision to cross the Mumbai Pune Highway. Population in this Area has been increased drastically hence current Infrastructure is unable to cater the load. 

There is need for Metro Station at Punawale considering proposed Metro route from Nigdi-Ravet-Punawale-Wakad as maximum employees based out of this route and travelling towards Hinjewadi IT Park.

Request to look into this matter and support to prioritize Infrastructure development.
