Huge news! There is currently a bill pending in the United States legislature that would ban the use of exotic animals in travelling circuses! Animals suffer horrific torture and abuse in the circus industry, constantly being dragged around to perform and entertain for people's amusement.
In the U.S. right now only Hawaii, New Jersey, and California have bans on the use of exotic animals in the circus. That still leaves 47 states where the cruelty continues! The Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA, HR2863/S2121) is pending in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. We must never give up until it passes!
