We, the undersigned members of the Lawrence community, are asking the Lawrence Community Shelter Board of Directors to hold a vote of no confidence in the current leadership of the shelter. We believe there are serious concerns about employee treatment, workplace safety, compliance with employee agreements and workplace policies, disability accommodations, emergency preparedness, communication, guest safety, and the overall management of the shelter. These concerns should be reviewed fairly and independently.

We are not asking the Board to assume that every claim is true. We are asking the Board to listen to current and former employees, guests, community members, and other people with relevant knowledge; review the facts; and provide a transparent process for determining whether the public has confidence in the current leadership. If you believe the Lawrence community should have a voice in deciding whether it has confidence in LCS leadership, please sign this petition.
