Today is the one year anniversary since the day I started Madi’s Law. I remember laying awake most of the night tossing and turning. I could not accept the way my daughter died and not DO SOMETHING about it. 

I feel the proudest accomplishment of Madi’s Law are the connections we’ve made. We have been able to share each other’s experiences. We are no longer one but to date 8900 supporters strong! We’re creating a large body of strength. A strong

voice has arrived! 

The dangers of psychotropic drugs have been brought to the attention of the Canadian government. We cannot change what is not acknowledged. It has now been acknowledged in the House of Commons. 

We’re crossing the bridge to year two. I really hope there’s not a year three and the Canadian government makes Madi’s Law legislation. We’re merely asking for an extension of an already existing caregiver system. It exists in surgeries and other medical treatments. Let’s extend it to psychotropic drugs. Let’s make the process of trying a new psychotropic drug safer so no one has to be harmed or die!
