I’m sharing an older article from 2018 because I couldn’t find a recent one.  It's about how many prescription opiates are missing from Canadian Pharmacies each year. They seem to have stopped reporting it and Health Canada appears to be no longer mentioning it but don’t kid yourself it still very much exists.

Addictive psychotropics invented legally by pharmaceutical companies continue to cause harm and death. They weren't invented on the streets. These powerful drugs were made to be distributed in our legal health care system. They somehow go missing ( stolen, unexplained,pilferage, or other). I'm tired of hearing the stories of  people who got them from a prescription or on the streets being harmed/overdosing and dieing a premature death. It's out of control. The public needs to be protected from addictive substances.
