Millions of Pakistanis have been affected by these floods and are suffering tremendously. Many of these include women and young girls. They suffer from ill health, face issues with pregnancy, the new born babies are at risk, gender based violence, adolescents lack the basic necessities for their hygiene and health and the list never ends.

These floods not only display the people suffering but also the global climate. The floods are symbolic of the rapidly changing climate due to global warming. It is unhygienic, infant mortality rates are rising, and women are experiencing complicated and high-risk pregnancy. It is imperative that we donate because this situation could last for years, if not months. 

Action needs to be taken now before it is too late for it has already been too long. We, as the global community, should work together and donate whatever possible to improve the lives of our fellow humans. Donations can be made to UN Crisis Relief,  UNICEF, Muslim Aid or any others collecting funds in your respective areas. Please be careful that you donate to authentic bodies!
