Dear Supporters,

I’m delighted to share some wonderful news: both St Nicholas Park and Victoria Park paddling pools are now open for families to enjoy.

When this campaign began, it was about something simple but important — making sure our children and families had access to safe, welcoming spaces to enjoy during the summer. What started as a concern shared by a few families became a collective voice from across our community.

I was at St Nicholas Park today, and it was truly heart-warming to see children laughing, playing and enjoying the paddling pool again. Seeing families come together reminded me exactly why this mattered so much.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who signed the petition, shared updates, encouraged others, contacted local representatives, and supported this campaign in any way. Your voices, passion and commitment showed the strength of our community.

With both pools now open, I feel this is the right time to close this campaign. But while this particular campaign may be coming to an end, our community spirit will always continue.

Together, we have shown that when people come together with a shared purpose, we can make a difference. We should never hesitate to speak up for what our families deserve, for what is right, and for the improvements our community needs.
