The newly announced Online Harms Act Bill C-63  takes no stand on protecting children from exposure to pornography online.

The opening lines in the text of the Bill assert that its' "purpose is to, among other things, promote the online safety of persons in Canada, reduce harms caused to persons in Canada as a result of harmful content online".

 How can it be that the recognized harm children's exposure to porn causes is ignored by C-63??   

There are strengths in Bill C-63, however choosing to ignore the known harm to kids that exposure causes,  and then choosing not to embrace S210 suggests a policy position that those against S210 are ok with the status quo. 

Help us convince our government that our kids matter- that parents and educators and caregivers cannot do this alone:

We cannot wipe away the images and videos that kids have seen. You cannot "prepare a child" for that kind of content. 

We need to continue to push for S210- An Act to restrict young persons’ online access to sexually explicit material!

We need a safe, secure digital environment for our children!
