I’ve Had Enough of the 36 Months Campaign

I’m absolutely fed up with the lies and manipulation behind this "36 months" social media age-raising campaign. Let’s break it down. Who was on the SXSW panel supporting this nonsense? Did we get experts like child neurologists, paediatricians, youth counsellors, or even parents and teachers? Maybe even the youth themselves? NO.
Instead, the stage was handed over to celebrities—people hungry for attention, not the well-being of young people. Let me tell you, I expected real professionals who could give us facts, but instead, we got:
- Wippa: a radio host, founder of this rubbish campaign, and whose only claim to authority is visiting ONE SCHOOL where kids were likely pressured into saying they don’t want social media.
- Maggie Dent: an author, not an expert in neuroscience or child development.
- Hamish Blake: a comedian. That’s right, the guy who tells jokes for a living is deciding the future of youth communication.
Wippa, who visited one school, then had the audacity to say that his "findings" represent millions of young people across the entire country. Really? Since when did one school represent the voice of an entire generation? This is a farce, and we should all be outraged.
It’s time to revolt! This campaign isn’t backed by the youth, teachers, or even child experts—it’s backed by money-hungry celebrities and media moguls who care more about profit and control than actual well-being.
We have the power to fight this. I’ve started two hashtags:
- #KeepIt13
- #KeepUsAnonymous
Spread these across social media. Associate them with this petition and make your voice heard. This is more than just a fight for social media access—it’s a fight for privacy, freedom, and our right to make choices for ourselves and our kids.
We’ve got 67 signatures so far. That’s not enough when compared to these out-of-touch, rich elites who want to make decisions for us without real input. But we can change that.
I’m going away for two weeks and won’t be able to post updates in that time, but I’ll be watching. We need to push harder and louder than ever before. The decision of the age will come in November, and we will keep the age at 13, no matter what.
Join me in holding these money whores accountable. They don’t speak for us, and they certainly don’t speak for our kids.
Fight back and let’s win this battle.
