Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you. Over 11,000 people have now signed this petition, and that support honestly means everything to me. It’s what has helped keep this going, even when I wasn’t in the headspace to keep fighting.

Since the last update in October, I’ve taken time to heal and focus on my mental health. Leading up to this last update, I had to step back completely. I’ll be honest, I started to lose hope with how domestic violence is handled in Australia. It felt like no matter how hard I tried, nothing would ever change. I reached a point where I didn’t see the point in continuing to fight for change.

That brought on a lot of guilt because I know how lucky I am to have been able to share my story in ways many women haven’t had the chance to. That’s something I don’t take lightly and it’s reminded me that I need to keep going, not just for myself, but for my daughters and for all women across Australia.

I’m now in a stronger place, and I’ve started moving forward again. I’ll be working on getting this petition formally submitted to NSW Parliament. I’ll keep you updated as things progress.

Please keep sharing, keep signing, and keep talking about it. Thank you again for being here with me.

Rhiannon 🖤
