Protect Wiltshire Wildlife - Rural Crime Officer has links to The Hunt

The Issue

Wiltshire Wildlife is under threat from biased policing. Wiltshire police force have appointed PC Cheryl Knight as a Wiltshire Rural Crime Officer even though she has connections to the Avon Vale Hunt where numerous members have recently been arrested for digging out foxes who had taken cover under ground, and throwing them to the waiting hounds. She has also been seen riding with the Beaufort Hunt.

The College of Policing's code of ethics states that "membership of groups or societies, or associations with groups or individuals, must not create an actual or apparent conflict of interest with police work and responsibilities." Association with The Hunt very clearly fits within this description of a conflict of interest.

It is vital PC Cheryl Knight be removed from this position in the name of fairness and transparency and so that faith in Wiltshire Rural Crime Team can be restored.
