In an apparent attempt to moor the promised appeal to the monstrosity planned at Belmar Park, developer Kairoi began cutting down mature trees this morning.

In response, Save Belmar Park Inc. (SBP) was in Jefferson County District Court hours later and able to get a temporary restraining order that will briefly stop the cutting of seven remaining trees.  However, the order is dependent on the court receiving $15,000 by tomorrow. A hearing will be held on May 27.
