Our presentation to the Welwyn Hatfield borough council on 25th March with our petition went well. We had some fantastic support in the chamber, but there was still a small majority to reject the petition and keep the Gosling ski site in the local housing plan.
So the council still haven't got the message, and still don't understand the importance of preserving our key community sporting facilities.
So what next? FILL THE HILL ! On 28th April, during the first ERSA summer season race day, we are asking as many people as possible, particularly those from a school, sports club or community group in the area to stand together on the slope as a peaceful protest. Hopefully with a guest speaker, we will demonstrate the strong community desire to keep this valuable sporting facility.
To Save Our Slope......we FILL THE HILL.
