Still no decision from Gimli mayor and council on my proposal to install barricades to prevent the snakes from getting run over. Mayor and council have said they are still consulting with stakeholders and that their public works people are supposed to visit the den site this spring to see if they have any concerns about my plan.

The snakes will start emerging from hibernation in another month or so as the weather warms. So now is a good time to intensify pressure on mayor and council before OTVs start rolling in and running over these vulnerable snakes.

So it would be greatly appreciated if you could send a quick email or make a brief phone call to remind mayor and council that you have not forgotten about these snakes, urging them to say yes to my plan ASAP.
