Hi everyone,

Since our last update, we’ve learned that the Ministry of Health’s new billing rates will also apply to our clinic’s existing patients. This comes as a shocking blow after reassurances that existing patients would remain on the previous billing schedule.

As a virtual-only clinic, this means that as of today, December 1, our doctors can’t get paid the full fee to see anyone. The new rates are so low that they can’t cover the depth of care we provide.

Clinic staff and our patients are very distressed. We need your help.

You can help by recording a short video message telling the Ministry of Health why they must act now to protect access to virtual gender affirming care for trans and gender diverse people.

Here are the guidelines:

• Keep your video to 60 seconds or less.
• If you use your phone to record a video, make sure you record it vertically.
• Imagine you're speaking to the Health Minister and address Sylvia Jones directly.
• We won't share your name/location in the video.
• Our plan is to put all the submissions together to create video content that will be shared on social media and with the Ministry directly.
