In the University of Hawaii's 2024 reporting, only 2 out of a total of 265 complaints of sexual, gender-based, and domestic assault/harassment received a formal investigation in which the university rendered a decision. SB3024 seeks to change Hawaii law to require the University of Hawaii to acknowledge all complaints via active response or an explained denial to investigate.
