📢 TRILOGY SUNSTONE HOA UPDATE: A QUORUM WAS AVAILABLE — SO WHY WAS THE MEETING POSTPONED?

October 22, 2026 | Important Petition Update

Homeowners deserve answers, and we finally have written confirmation from HOA management regarding the postponement of the October 22 Board meeting.

In an October 22 email, Carolina Soto of The Management Trust confirmed:

“A quorum of the Board was available on October 22; the majority nonetheless preferred a date on which the full Board could attend.”

Let that sink in.

The Board had enough directors available to conduct business, yet the meeting was postponed anyway.

WHO MADE THE DECISION?
According to management:

  1. A request was made to move the meeting so all five directors could attend.
  2. Three directors supported rescheduling by email.
Two directors opposed postponing the meeting.
  3. A quorum was available, meaning the meeting could have proceeded.

The Board will now be asked to ratify the postponement at its November 16 meeting.

Our Board currently consists of three Shea-appointed directors and two resident directors.

Given this composition, homeowners deserve to know exactly how each director voted and why postponement was necessary when a quorum was available.

Was accommodating the full Board more important than conducting scheduled Association business and addressing homeowners' concerns?

THE ISSUANCE AGREEMENT IS STILL UNRESOLVED
This controversial agreement involves substantial financial obligations for single-family homeowners and raises serious concerns about long-term costs, transparency, and homeowner protections.

The September 2 Board vote on the Issuance Agreement was 3–2, with the three Shea-appointed directors voting in favor and the two resident directors opposing.

Now, once again, we have a 3–2 division concerning an important Board decision.

Homeowners deserve representation, not decisions that appear to consistently favor the developer's position.

WHAT MANAGEMENT HAS NOW CONFIRMED

  • The next Board meeting is tentatively scheduled for November 16, 2026.
  • The Issuance Agreement will be placed on that meeting's agenda.
  • The final agreement will be provided or posted with the meeting notice at least 10 days before the meeting.
  • Homeowners will be permitted to comment before the Board takes action.
  • The email correspondence regarding the postponement will be filed with the Board minutes.
  • The Board will be asked to ratify the postponement in open session.

OUR MESSAGE TO THE BOARD
Transparency should not require repeated emails, records requests, petitions, and pressure from homeowners.

We expect the Board to explain why the October 22 meeting was postponed despite an available quorum, disclose the correspondence surrounding that decision, and provide homeowners adequate time to review the final Issuance Agreement before any vote.

Attached is management's October 22 written response so homeowners can read the confirmation for themselves.

Please continue sharing this petition and encouraging your neighbors to stay informed.

The decisions being made today could affect our community and our HOA assessments for years to come.

We deserve transparency. We deserve accountability. And we deserve a Board that puts homeowners first.
