Protect Transgender Athletes in the Olympics

Protect Transgender Athletes in the Olympics
The Issue
In the past week, US President Donald Trump declared that transgender athletes should not participate in any sport, including the Olympics. In this process, he is effectively barring potentially millions of athletes globally that have the potential to impact the history of human excellence; just due to the fact that they are transgender, something that they cannot change (in spite of thoughts otherwise).
If the International Olympic Committee bows to the wills and desires of US President, Donald Trump, it will only help normalize the stigmatization of transgender people worldwide. In this process, it will only cause the further marginalization and hate of the transgender community for simply just existing as themselves. We must act in order to protect human rights, worldwide. To help further illustrate the picture, imagine if Jesse Owens was barred from participating in the Olympics due to the fact that he was African American. We would have lost a top athlete from the Olympics just because of how he was born.
With the Summer Olympics of 2028 scheduled to be hosted in Los Angeles, California, we the people must act now. Alongside this, we must act as soon as possible to help counter the wills of US President Donald Trump in so far as excluding athletes for being themselves. We must act in order to help further human rights, and to block efforts that hinder the rights of people worldwide.
