Protect Train Driver from Job Loss for Expressing Support for Palestine

Protect Train Driver from Job Loss for Expressing Support for Palestine
The Issue
It has come to our attention that a train driver is facing job loss for expressing their support for Palestine, specifically through the chant "Free Palestine". This chant is not antisemitic; it is a call for justice and human rights. According to a 2020 report by Human Rights Watch, Palestinians continue to suffer severe abuses in respect of their rights (Human Rights Watch, 2020). The dismissal of employees based on their political beliefs infringes upon their freedom of speech as protected under Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights. We believe that no one should lose their livelihood over expressing solidarity with an oppressed group. We urge employers and regulatory bodies to reconsider such punitive measures and uphold the right to free expression in all workplaces. Please sign this petition if you stand with us in protecting workers' rights and freedom of speech.
