Protect Tiny Desk, PBS Kids, and public music programming

Protect Tiny Desk, PBS Kids, and public music programming
The Issue
The Trump administration has moved to shut down the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB)—a decision that threatens the future of public media across the country.
While NPR’s Tiny Desk *may* survive thanks to its popularity, many local NPR and PBS stations will not.
CPB provides funding to more than 1,500 public stations—many of them in rural or underserved communities where they are the only reliable source of arts programming, news, and children’s education.
We are calling on Congress and the Department of Education to restore federal funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting immediately!
- Protect public access to trusted music, arts, and educational programming like Tiny Desk, PBS Kids, and Great Performances
- Ensure small and rural stations are not forced off the air by political defunding
Public broadcasting has helped launch artists, support local culture, educate children, and keep millions informed—without paywalls or corporate agendas. Defunding CPB puts equity, access, and creativity at risk.
Sign this petition to tell Congress: music, arts, and education are public goods. We will not let them be dismantled.
