Cayman Brackers UnitedCayman Islands
1 Nov 2017
On October 16, 2017, the owner of the property in question was charged with "displaying an obscene object for public exhibition, intending to corrupt moral, relative to section 157 (1) of the Penal Code (2017 revision)." In court on Cayman Brac on Thursday October 26, 2017, he pleaded not guilty to the charges, and requested the case go to "trial with a jury" on Grand Cayman rather than on Cayman Brac where the offense has taken place and remains ongoing since the objects are still on public display along a main public road on Cayman Brac. This request is in-keeping with the property owner's apparent desire and intention to attract more publicity, and his continued disregard for the people and community of Cayman Brac where he has chosen to live instead of in the United States where he is originally from. The next hearing is scheduled in Cayman Brac for late November.
