There was no fight, no altercation, no issue at the tournament itself.
The only connection between Ferris World Ball and those involved in the shooting is the color of their skin.
We believe this is part of a political agenda — a calculated move to erase the tournament’s legacy so they can redevelop Ferris Avenue, all while dismantling the culture rooted in respect, unity, and love of community that Ferris World Ball at Gardella Park represents.

For over four decades, Ferris World Ball at Gardella Park has saved lives, built unity, and provided a safe space for our youth and families. It is the backbone of the Ferris Avenue community, a living piece of history that has given generations a place to belong and thrive.

We will not allow fear, misinformation, racial bias, or political games to erase this legacy.
