The Issue

In Sacramento County, David Allen Funston was convicted of horrific crimes against the most vulnerable members of our society — our children. He was found guilty on multiple counts of kidnapping and sexually assaulting children between the ages of 3 and 7. Despite these grave offenses, the parole board has granted him early release through California's elderly parole program. These decisions are made under administration provisions that fail to prioritize the safety of the public and our children , jeopardizing our welfare , and depreciating the seriousness off the offense's!

We can not accept this.

THE RELEASE OF A KNOWN, VERIFIED SERIAL CHILD PREDATOR LIKE FUNSTON IS NOT JUSTIFIABLE.

Their is a great responsibility to the protection of our children, they are defenseless, they have no voice in this process, It is our Job to protect them, they are counting on us.

We must be their voice!

THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN IS NON-NEGOTIABLE!

Allowing Funston back into society not only endangers our community but also dismisses the lifelong trauma and pain suffered by his victims.

Funston, now in his 60's, due to living past age 50, has been granted the gift of freedom from his life sentence"s".

His multiple victims however have unwillingly been sentenced to a life-time of unimaginable trauma from which they will never be freed.

It is unacceptable that he should not endure the full consequences of his actions while his victims suffer endlessly.

The injustice in releasing him speaks volumes about the flawed priorities of our current program. Silence on this matter signifies complicity.

We cannot stand idly by while our community's safety and our children's future are jeopardized.

Were calling on:

President Donald Trump

Attorney General Rob Bonta

Governor Gavin Newsom

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

The California Board of Parole Hearings

Sacramento County officials

Prosecutors and all

California state authorities to halt and reconsider this decision.

Do not release David Allen Funston.

Uphold justice by ensuring that those who commit such horrendous acts against our youth are held fully accountable for the crimes committed by serving the full term of there sentences'

I call upon every concerned citizen to stand up and make their voice heard. Together, we can ensure that the public safety and our children's well-being take precedence over this absurd unjust administrative decision.

SIGN THIS PETITION TO DEMAND OUR CHILDREN'S SAFETY BECOME A PRIORITY

AND PUSH FOR THIS AND ALL CHILD PREDATORS TO BE DENIED PAROLE
