Hello, fellow Mütter supporters!
We’d like to give you a peek into what’s happened since the petition reached 30,000 signatures, and how you can continue to help us.
It’s no secret that the Board has refused to acknowledge the concerns of our community, other than to dismiss them as irrelevant. However, we do know that they have read our letter and are acutely aware of what’s being said. We ARE getting their attention. Unfortunately, the leadership continues to reactively double-down when faced with opportunities to explain, assuage, or engage with anyone who disapproves of their “new direction”.
Who IS willing to engage with us is the media. We’ve been working with local, national and international publications and organizations - some which we have shared, others that are yet to be published. This is where you come in; it’s time to tell your story.
We of Protect the Mütter are asking those who are able and willing share a video of themselves describing how the Museum and its collection have touched your life. We will post and share these videos to put a face and a voice to the considerable support for our campaign. We are asking for videos that to be:
- Selfie style
- Portrait orientation
- Thirty seconds or less
- Contains no explicit language/personal attacks
Please send videos to protectthemutter@gmail.com or via direct message to our Instagram or Facebook pages. If you share them on your own social media, please use the hashtag #WhatTheMutterMeansToMe.
Thank you!!!
