We thank you for continuing to show up and stand up with us to protect the Cultural Protection Overlay District that includes Pine Island and St. Helenaville which are part of the St. Helena Island CPO in Beaufort County, SC. In spite of numerous meetings over 4 years in which the destructioneers request has been denied and he has lost in court, there is currently an attempt to try to discuss a plan that is almost exactly what was presented last year behind closed doors. This article lets you know what happened at the Beaufort County Council Caucus last week when another closed door executive session was on the agenda:
We need you to show up on Monday, October 5, 2026 by 6 pm to STAND UP and SPEAK OUT during the Beaufort County Planning Commission meeting once again! The meeting will be held in county council chambers at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort, SC. If you want to make comments, arrive between 5 and 5:30 pm.
We must continue to stand with Beaufort County and continue to UPHOLD the CPO! NO GATES! NO GOLF! Keep de Gullah/Geechee epicenter alive!
