This is not about my story. It about the children of Oklahoma and parents or guardians. DHS governs themselves with no one to enforce that laws and policy are followed. Even the Ombudsman's hands are tied. We are requesting that Governor Stitt form an oversight committee made up of lawyers or judges that have no affiliation with DHS to audit random files for laws and policy that are violated, as well as new complaints and issue the appropriate penalty instead of DHS being in control of this part of any case. We need an unbiased committee for checks and balances. 

Oklahoma CPS is known to violate several laws and their own policies. Children are removed from homes, both biological and foster homes alike, for reasons that are not part of policy causing mental injury to the children they are supposed to protect. They fail to tell the parent or guardian what the allegations against them are leaving them without the opportunity to defend themselves, correct the issue or start getting help for the issue. They fail to provide the parents with the required pamphlet informing them of their rights and the investigation procedure. They lie to the children when taking them. They often retaliate against anyone that fights back.

A friend of mine had her children removed late at night after speaking with me on FB about this Petition because a doctor had discontinued one of her children's medication. This is the retaliation we face when we fight. If they can't go after us personally, they go after friends and family. That friend was able to get one of her kids back so far. But if we band together, we CAN stop this!

CPS makes up their own rules and makes decisions that they are not qualified to make. I was told that I was not allowed to feed the kids cold foods (no where in the law or policy.... no cake and ice cream on birthdays, no fresh fruit for snacks, etc.). I was told that I am not allowed to give the children options for meals, that everyone must eat the exact same thing. A caseworker put in a report that I was feeding the kids PBJ which has no nutritional value. The caseworker has no education on nutrition. Every nutritionist I found stated that it is one of the best lunches to feed a growing child.

Enough is enough. It is time to make DHS answer for their crimes!

Many parents have had to move out of state after an investigation in which they fought and got their kids back because CPS would constantly investigate them on false accusations, none of which made sense. They have had zero issues since moving out of state.
