Hello, thank you all so much for signing the Protect The Bellarine Protect St Leonards petition.
We are sneaking up to almost 900 signatures which is absolutely amazing.
Just to let you know that petition numbers across the Bellarine are being quoted at the DAL Advisory Hearings. In total more than 10,000 people across the Bellarine have signed petitions, a clear indication to government that the community want to keep the township boundaries as per the Draft Statement of Planning Policy and as supported by Geelong council.
To put these numbers in some perspective in the recent federal election the first preference count difference between the two major parties in the seat of Corangamite was 4,441 votes and second preferred difference 13,117. Your voice is being heard.
If you know someone who would like to sign the petition please forward it to them, or have a look at our web site or for the petition head to: https://www.change.org/Protect-St-Leonards
