There have been recent developments. It now appears that our building is being positioned as a key part of ongoing discussions related to the proposed high-rise development next door.

What is deeply concerning is not only the development itself, but the process:

– Residents were not informed for months

– There was no vote

– There has been no open, transparent discussion with those most impacted

Decisions that affect our homes, our property values, and the preservation of Art Deco should never happen behind closed doors or without residents’ consent.

Many residents from our own building have signed this petition because they believe in transparency, fairness, and the right to be informed and consulted.
