We are immensely grateful and excited to share that the Child Life Hospice and Palliative Care Network, an an international network dedicated to supporting CCLSs in hospice and palliative care, has formally endorsed the efforts of our Texas Child Life Licensing Task Force, for CCLS Licensure.

And recently, our friend, supporter, social media influencer, and ER physician, J Mack Slaughter shared a video that highlighted one of the reasons we are fighting so hard for licensure to protect children and families--that some hospitals CAN and ARE hiring unqualified people to fill open child life specialist roles. Parents shouldn't have to wonder if the child life specialist who shows up to provide psychosocial care for their child(ren), is educated, clinically-trained and qualified to do what they say they are going to do. And unless parents ask, there is no way they would know because the badge still says, 'Child Life Specialist'.

Check-out J. Mack's video, sign his national petition asking our Federal legislators to advocate for a future where no child’s psychological needs are overlooked during medical treatments. And after you sign J. Mack's petition, share THIS petition so we can show the Texas legislators during our July meetings, that the public supports the need for Texas CCLS Licensure. We appreciate your continued support!
