Update: From “barrier” to the wider Stag Meadow development

We’ve updated the petition title and description to reflect the full scope now emerging at Stag Meadow — not just a barrier, but a floodlit 3G plastic pitch, 7-day intensive use, and car-park restrictions, with environmental impacts and access concerns. The earlier barrier episode and limited transparency from WEFC reinforced why we must address the whole proposal, not a single element.

What we’re asking for

Pause plans pending full public consultation and published traffic, lighting, ecology & flood-risk assessments.
Guarantee daytime public access and set clear, enforceable limits for any restrictions.
Enforce a proper traffic/parking plan and adopt robust environmental safeguards.
We’ve renamed the group to:

Protect Stag Meadow — Community Help Against Overdevelopment (CHAOS).
