Dear supporter,

Thank you for signing the petition to keep Stag Meadow open to all. Because of your support, we’ve raised nearly 1,000 signatures, a powerful message that public access matters.

But now, WEFC is moving to the next stage of its expansion. They’ve released a leaflet  promoting a full-size plastic 3G pitch with floodlights and seven day a week use, including evening events. This isn’t just about football, it’s about permanent, intensive change to a shared public space that affects everyone. The environmental damage this will cause to the SSSI area will be immense. Oak trees, carbon dated to over 800 years old are homes to Barn owls, bats and rare flora and fauna. Access will become more limited to what has been a public used space for over 100 years.

We urgently need volunteers to help challenge what’s coming. If you have any experience in:

Planning law
Environmental impact
Local government process
Social media or communications
Or you simply care and can spare time
…please reply to this email or contact:
*** chaoscampaign@proton.me  ***

This is a crucial moment. A planning application is due this year. With your help, we can build a stronger case for public access, shared space, and transparency.

Thank you again. You’ve already made a difference, now let’s take it further.

Warm regards,
Simon
