The meeting starts at 1:00 PM, but public comment starts around 2:00 PM.

You can hop on around 1:45, have up to 3 minutes to speak, and leave when you’re done.

I wanted to send out a quick update and ask for one last push.

The petition has gotten way more support than I ever expected, and I seriously can’t thank everyone enough for signing it, sharing it, and helping spread the word.

The SDGFP Commission will be discussing the proposed change to allow harvest of muskies 45 inches and larger on September 10th in Winner, SD. The meeting starts at 1:00 PM, with public comment beginning around 2:00 PM, and it will also be available through Zoom.

If you can’t spend your whole afternoon there, don’t worry about it. You can hop on around 1:45, listen for your turn, give your comment, and get back to your day. Everyone gets up to 3 minutes to speak, so you don’t need to prepare some huge speech.

You don’t need to be a musky expert or even a musky fisherman. If you care about South Dakota’s fisheries and want to see these fish continue to have a future here, your voice matters.

We’re getting down to the wire, so this is really the last big opportunity to show the Commission how much people care about keeping South Dakota’s muskies catch-and-release only.
