I would like to give an update on #FinnsLaw and some commenting on the petition are showing negativity, this only accounts for a few who have shown distain.

This petition will be going via DUP to the UK Government (Westminster) can I ask that you remain polite and respectful in your comments an example could be 'you believe the current Animal Welfare Act is wrong which does not protect Police Dogs who protect the police their handlers and the community, they are essential to combat crime and they deserve to be protected'. You can put your own words but please be polite.

Please do not blame the police or handlers their hands are tied just like you and me, they can only go by what the Courts hand out to offenders, they uphold the Law they do not make them.

Most of you know the story of retired PD Finn some do not and as you know the current Act covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (UK) which #FinnsLaw will change and now has Government backing as well as Councillors, MLA's and MP's.

The Service Animals (Offences) Bill 2018 know as 'Finns Law' will no longer have the charge of 'damaged property' when PD's are injured and carry longer sentences, 'the fear of defence' will no longer be in the Bill and PD's will be classed as serving police officers.

FinnsLaw has a long way to go to reach our goal, a slow process but we still need many signatures to show the Government that we support the Bill, Police and PD's.

#FinnsLaw is waiting a date for committee at Westminster.

Can I thank you for your support and as I said this update will not apply to many of you.

Please continue to share the petition, talk about Finn and get as many people to know about #FinnsLaw.

I will leave a link for those who need some facts about the campaign -
