Protect Serenity Trail, Ooltewah Drinking Water - Stop High-Density Septic Risk

The Issue

We are asking Hamilton County & TDEC to pause approvals for the proposed 26 (maximum)-septic development at 8425 & 8449 Serenity Trail (developer: Karim Jooma) until groundwater safety is reviewed. There are at least 7 private wells on Serenity Trail that rely on the same shallow groundwater system. This is our only source of water to our homes.

Septic density, soil limitations, and karst limestone increase the risk of bacteria and nitrate contamination reaching drinking water wells. Please sign to show support for protecting our neighborhood wells and ensuring a scientific review before development moves forward.
