We, the residents of Raunds and surrounding areas, strongly object to proposals by Davidsons Homes to build hundreds of houses on the small, open countryside west of London Road and south of Meadow Lane.

This development would:

• Add dangerous traffic to London Road, the repeatedly fatal stretch of the A45, nearby junctions, and the already horrendously busy Stanwick route that connects our town to the A45
• Increase flood risk and drainage problems in an area already known to flood
• Put unsustainable pressure on schools, GP services, and an already-lacking local amenities
• Damage wildlife habitats and increase pressure on the Internationally recognised Stanwick Lakes Special Protection Area
• Permanently remove one of Raunds’ last green buffers and spoil the rural Meadow Lane walking route
• Raunds has already delivered more than 1,000 new homes in recent years and has met its housing requirements. Our Neighbourhood Plan clearly states no further large allocations are needed.

👉 We call on North Northamptonshire Council to refuse any planning application on this land and to exclude it from future housing allocations.
