Dear Park Lands Supporters,

Congratulations, you are now one of 50,244 people who have signed the Protect Possum Park Pete Petition.

This is the biggest online petition in South Australian History and the second biggest petition ever gathered in South Australia. The biggest was a petition to parliament in 1999-2000. You can learn more here

Councillors Maher and Snape have launched one of those old-fashioned petitions. You can sign that here. These have to be physically printed off and signed but 10,000 signatures compels the parliament to conduct an inquiry - even if the Government does not want that to happen.

You will have read that the Park Lands Association is forming a broad alliance to protect Adelaide’s identity, heritage and environment. This was part of our Stop the Chop at Victoria Park rally on June 6. You can read about that here. And you can find links to the campaigns our alliance partners are fighting.

One of those alliance partners, the Save Festival Plaza Alliance is planning a gathering at the Tax office in Franklin St at 1pm next Thursday 18th June.  with the theme: No Plaza Tax Tower- it's Our Plaza. Register and get More information here.

And the fight for Possum Park is not over.  Learned as a part of Edwin Kemp Attrills legal challenge that there are still almost 200 of the 585 trees remaining and of course there will be a lot more construction on Possum Park if the development proceeds.  You can contribute to the fighting fund here.

Thank you for your support.
