First of all, apologies for this update being a bit late: behind the scenes, our core committee has been working flat out because things are moving fast!

We want to share the incredible scale of what our community has achieved together this week:

1,500+ Signatures: Our online petition has officially smashed past the 1,500 mark!
600 Group Members: Our main Facebook campaign hub is rapidly closing in on 600 active residents tracking our daily updates.
2,500 Leaflets Delivered: A truly heroic effort from our brilliant army of neighborhood volunteers who have hand-delivered over 2,500 info flyers across the community.
Packed Town Hall: The Special Community Council Meeting upstairs was an absolute powerhouse, with over 100 residents standing shoulder-to-shoulder; so many that we completely maxed out the room's normal capacity!
The Old Town Crier: Our info has officially hit the presses and is now physically inside many hands across the town.

Because of the massive public momentum you have generated, our committee has been able to step up our high-level engagements with regional representatives and statutory bodies this week. We are making sure the community's voice is firmly represented at every single level of governance before the doors slam shut.

With the absolute final council deadline fast approaching on Friday 25 September, we cannot afford to slow down. Please remember: while our 1,500-strong petition proves our solidarity, the council legally counts a petition as just one single collective objection.

To force the independent Scottish Government Planning Reporter to strike Sites R25, R26, and R27 off the map forever, you MUST send an individual email from your own personal inbox straight to ldp@midlothian.gov.uk. Just write a short note in your own words saying why you oppose the greenfield development, and ensure you include your Full Name and Postal Address at the bottom so they are legally required to count it.
