Skin matters—and so do your stories. This petition began in Macclesfield, but it’s become clear: the lack of emergency dermatology care isn’t just a local issue—it’s happening across the country. That’s why I’ve expanded the petition’s focus beyond Macclesfield—it’s a national issue too.
What’s happened so far: Concerns raised about the absence of emergency dermatology care have now reached senior NHS figures. The Medical Director at East Cheshire NHS Trust has confirmed that the issue has been escalated to the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the Director of Communications. This is a step forward—and it shows that the issue is being taken seriously.
Why your voice still matters: If you’ve faced delays in dermatology care—or know someone who has—please share your experience in the comments. You don’t need to give your name. Just a few words help show decision-makers that this isn’t one story—it’s many. Your voice adds weight, urgency, and strength.
Change is possible. Momentum is building, and something is on the horizon that will help shine more light on this issue. I’ll share more soon. For now—thank you for helping push for change.
