In predictable fashion, Trustee Mike Del Grande returned from sick leave just in time to protest the acknowledgement of 2SLGBTQ+ students, staff and families at the TCDSB. 

During a May 6th, 2021, meeting where the recommendation to proclaim June as Pride Month and raise the rainbow flag at all schools during this time, Del Grande opposed every single delegate that spoke in favour.

Linked below is an interview Del Grande had in his official capacity on April 29th, 2021. This means he has now returned from sick leave and 30 days has come and gone, without him having completed his sanctions, as required.

We have word that he has registered to do the equity training on June 9th, 2021, but to not hold our breath for the apology.

If anyone else is concerned about Del Grande's bad behaviour still having a seat at the table, despite being found guilty of breaching his Code of Conduct and flippantly refusing sanctions, please contact the Integrity Commissioner to let them know.
