We also wanted to let everyone know they can further support us by attending Tuesdays Redding City Council meeting at 6 and signing up to speak during open comment against the entire lease. We ask that you bring signs if you feel compelled. This is on Reddings Tuesday Council meeting agenda. I would encourage EVERYONE TO COME SPEAK AGAINST THE ENTIRE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND COUNTY THAT LEASES THE 90 ACRES FOR ONE YEAR FOR $0 WITH AN OPTION TO PURCHASE FOR $1 AFTER A YEAR. They plan on rescinding the grazing zoning change they made on the parcel for the jail complex TO TRY TO STOP OUR LAWSUIT AND TO NOT HAVE TO GIVE US ACCESS TO THE SITE. THIS IS A SNEAKY MOVE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND COUNTY TO SEE THIS JAIL MONSTROSITY THROUGH SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE A ENDLESS AMOUNT OF FUNDING COMING IN PER PRISONER HOUSED. IF YOU CANT MAKE THE MEETING I ENCOURAGE YOU TO WRITE BOTH THE CITY COUNCIL AND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. YOU CAN ALSO SIGN OUR PETITION AND SHARE IT.
