Hello friends, 

We are getting closer to victory on the long road to protecting our pets, but still we wait for real change. 

Recently, the wonderful Senator Stirling Griff, stood up in Parliament and advocated on our behalf, with a little update. 

"It’s been more than two years since I initiated an inquiry into pet food standards and we still have no result.

I know work is still ongoing to look at these recommendations but it is too slow.  

As pet owners, we deserve to know that pet food is made to mandatory standards and we deserve to have a solid recall and complaints system in place. 

Let's get on with it!"

It is comforting to know we have Senator Griff in our corner, but we agree that this process is taking too long. 2020 has been a busy, strange year but we have the committee's recommendations. There is no decent reason why the Government should not advance these reforms. We know what needs to be done to regulate the pet food industry, to keep our precious pets safe. 

Please, consider writing to your federal MP to ask them why this regulation isn't happening, and keep sharing this petition.

We must keep speaking up for our pets, as Senator Griff said in the video: they are part of our family.
