Keep Our Children Safe
The Issue
School shootings are becoming more frequent in America every year. 27 school shootings have occurred this year alone, 34 in 2021, 10 in 2020, and 24 in 2018 and 2019. Our kids deserve better protection, and we can no longer sit back and wait for the adults in charge to do the right thing. A school is a place for kids to spend with friends and learn, and they should be free from fear while attending. It's no secret that there are a number of controversial issues in the news these days, such as abortion, BTB, BLM, and so on. While I acknowledge the importance of those topics, I believe this is an issue that needs to be addressed now. Children must be protected. This could have been you getting a call today, or it could have been you identifying your child's body. Change needs to happen. By signing this petition, you can demand that our kids are protected at school when we leave them there. Pray for the families of the victims.
************************ We are not seeking to remove anyone from office through this petition. The petition's main goal is to get those in power on the same page when it comes to the safety of our children at school. As a society, we all bear our share of responsibility for not taking action when the first school shooting broke the news, but some did and some did not. My heart breaks seeing those babies' faces and hearing their parents cry for their children. There should be no more mass shootings in schools or broken hearts of parents. There can be no change unless we all work together. I hope this helped clear up any confusion.
