This bill was making quick progress, but now we need to rally! January 23rd, the House Education Committee voted unanimously in favor of the Bill and on the 29th the full House voted in favor – unanimously – as well!

In the meantime, the Senate Education committee also unanimously voted in favor of the bill on the 27th! It was then sent to the next committee, Children, Families & Elder Affairs. They did not include it on their agenda this week, and it is not on the agenda next week. The committee is not required to bring a bill up for a vote and it will “die in committee” if it is not.

We cannot let this happen! We have updated the petition to copy the Children, Families & Elder Affairs committee members. We need them to receive updates every day on the increasing number of signatures, so they understand how important this bill is to their voters.
