Protect Our Community: Enact Strong Regulations and Moratoriums on Falls Twshp Data Center

Protect Our Community: Enact Strong Regulations and Moratoriums on Falls Twshp Data Center
The Issue
To the Bucks County Commissioners, Bucks County Planning Commission, Falls Township Supervisors and the Pennsylvania State Legislature:
We, the undersigned residents and taxpayers of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, specifically Falls Township, demand immediate, proactive action regarding the rapid proliferation of massive industrial data centers in our community, specifically the Data Center, owned by Amazon, currently being constructed in the Keystone Trade
Center, in Falls Township, PA. While we recognize the need for economic and technological growth, these mega-developments—such as the massive projects approved in Falls Township and proposed in West Rockhill—threaten our environment, our public health, and our local quality of life.
We specifically urge our local and state representatives to:
Enact an Immediate Moratorium: Implement a temporary pause on the approval and construction of all new data center projects until comprehensive environmental, water, and power-grid assessments are completed.
Protect Our Utility Bills & Natural Resources: Prevent utility providers from passing the monumental energy and infrastructure costs onto everyday ratepayers. Data centers must be required to use non-fossil fuel energy, mitigate excessive water usage, and shield our local well and river ecosystems.
Demand Air Quality & Backup Generators: Mandate continuous air quality monitoring for toxic emissions from diesel backup generators, strictly limiting the hours of routine testing.
Establish Noise Limits: The operation must comply with day/night decibel limits at the property line, requiring acoustic baffling to prevent the continuous hum of cooling fans from violating local noise ordinances.
Establish Stricter Zoning Protections: Enforce strict decibel limits for 24/7 noise pollution and mandate large green buffers to preserve residential character. Data centers should not be blanket-permitted under general warehouse zoning.
Demand Community Transparency: Ensure that developers and state officials engage in transparent, open dialogues with local residents rather than rushing projects through permitting.
We have the right to decide what gets built in our backyards. We ask our elected officials to prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of Falls Township, PA residents over corporate interests.
Sign below to demand accountability and protection for our communities!
