One of the most heartbreaking and frightening crimes, that is going on everyday in front of our eyes, would be child trafficking. According to 'ScienceDirect' human trafficking has been listed as the third largest illegal business in the world. The horrifying business itself has gained over $150 billion every year from trafficking. Every year, young children are kidnapped in stores, schools, and even outside of their own homes. Our goal is to spread the knowledge of safety pertaining to human trafficking and make a heavy impact on the overall issue of child trafficking.

Child traffickers mainly look for young and vulnerable kids to take and traffic. These are young children with families; brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, who are forced into hard labor and sexual exploitation. Children are abused on a day-to-day basis suffering the disgusting crimes they are forced through. They live in fear and are forced to be silent, giving these kids no option but to accept their fate. Children are blackmailed, closely monitored, and isolated from their friends and family, just to be forced into extreme trafficking environments. We are here to change that. We want to continue this petition to aid to those that are in danger and don't have a voice.

Many aspects play into child trafficking and what makes a child more prone to being trafficked. For example, poverty, vulnerability, and the awareness that children, and even parents, may lack, causes them to be easier targets. Traffickers use simple tactics such as posing with false identities on social media platforms to lure in unsuspecting children. There have been countless times children have met an older individual online and unknowingly given them their information, which makes the children far more accessible for trafficking. Globally, traffickers will 'groom' children. Grooming can happen in various ways from online to in person, some may even be the ones around you. They build trust with these children to easily manipulate them and coerce them into doing unspeakable things. Teaching our children about internet safety and stranger-danger is very crucial to prevent trafficking crimes.

Trafficking victims' mental health have been heavily impacted by the extremities they go through. Most suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), severe depression, and high anxiety levels. Some have been physically impacted by Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STD'S), and physical bruising, scars, and cuts. They are forced to live in inhumane conditions and filth which causes a decrease in their hygiene and mental health. Many children end up malnourished due to punishments by the traffickers for "misbehaving." Our mission is to aid these children to become independent, healthy, and strong-willed humans that can conquer. 

Using this petition, we reach to be the voice of the ones who are not heard. We want to raise more awareness to the safety protocols regarding social settings, especially with children. Our hope is to encourage the government to enforce more laws regarding child trafficking and improve the prevention techniques. Signing this petition will also aid in gaining more education/awareness in schools with young children about the dangers of human trafficking. Raising this awareness will help us gain more online safety throughout the globe and give the proper care and treatment for past victims who still struggle with the trauma.
