Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition so far. I’m excited to share that both SOBIR (Society for Original Biometric Identity Rights) and SOBIRTECH have now been formally registered in Canada.

 we are a legal entity, ready to act.

Recent global shifts confirm just how urgently this work is needed:

Denmark is about to become the first country in Europe to give people copyright over their own face, voice, and body

 specifically to fight AI deepfakes.

YouTube announced that starting July 15, it will only monetize creators who use their real voice and produce original content. AI-generated videos and reused content will no longer qualify.

These updates prove what we’ve been saying all along :

we need legal protections and ethical standards for how biometric identity is used and misused in the age of AI.

I’ll be using SOBIRTECH to push for policies like Denmark’s right-to-own-your-identity here in Canada.

I’ll also be reaching out to YouTube directly to seek justice for the unauthorized use of my voice  and for every creator who’s been affected without consent.
