When presented with an opportunity to address his disgraceful act and apologize for offending many within the TCDSB community, Mike Del Grande chose not to.

On a call with CBC on Monday, November 18th, 2019, Mike Del Grande simply stated: "I wasn't serious about it"

He then doubled down on those statements in a 640 radio interview on Wednesday, November 20th 2019.

His contrasting statements reinforce the fact that he is not serious about protecting our most vulnerable youth. He is not serious about combating bullying and homophobia in Ontario schools. He is not serious about respecting others or the code of conduct he is to abide by in his role.

Ultimately, he is not serious about fulfilling his duties as a Trustee.
