You signed online. Here’s how to make your signature officially count.

Thank you to the 57 people who have already added their names to the #Foodbelt campaign.

There’s one important thing we want to make sure every signer knows:

Change.org signatures cannot be formally presented to the Ontario Legislature.

Ontario’s Legislative Assembly requires petitions to be signed by hand, on paper.

That doesn’t mean your online signature doesn’t matter. It does. Change.org helps us raise awareness, demonstrate public support and reach people who may not otherwise hear about the need to protect Ontario’s agricultural land.

But if you’d like your name to officially count at Queen’s Park, there’s one more step:

Print it, sign it by hand, ask others in your community to sign, and follow the return instructions on the petition so it can be submitted to the Ontario Legislature.

Signing online builds awareness. Signing on paper puts your name before the Legislature.
