Dear Supporters,
We need your help! On October 9, 2024, the City of Oceanside will be voting on an important amendment to the encampment ordinance that could make a real difference in our community. This amendment will allow enforcement officers to better manage encampment issues by removing the current requirement to offer shelter or hotel vouchers before enforcing the ordinance. The time for posting encampment abatements will also be reduced from 48 to 24 hours.
These small but significant changes will give our local officers more tools to handle quality-of-life issues that affect businesses and residents like you. While the changes won’t solve the entire problem, they represent a step in the right direction. We believe this proposal reflects the concerns and desires of our community, but we need your voices to be heard!

- Attend the City Council meeting on October 9, 2024, and show your support for these amendments.
- Speak up at the hearing: Share your personal experiences and explain why these changes are critical for the safety and well-being of our community.
