Community Spaces — Different people, different ways to belong

An inclusive community space should offer more than simply a place to turn up.

It should allow people to participate at their own pace, enjoy shared interests, find quieter surroundings when needed and feel welcome without pressure to explain themselves.

For neurodivergent people, disabled people and anyone who finds conventional social environments difficult, flexibility can make the difference between feeling excluded and feeling included.

My Community Spaces petition continues to champion places where different needs are understood and people can join in their own way.
